Research

The overarching theme of our research is the quest to design, understand, and control large interacting quantum systems, with applications including quantum computers, quantum sensors, and quantum networks. To overcome the formidable challenges associated with the imposing size of the many-body Hilbert space and the fragility of quantum effects, we combine in our research the tools and ideas from quantum information science, condensed matter physics, and AMO (atomic, molecular, optical) physics.
